Best Western Premier Ankeny Hotel

Decent hotel for a goodnight sleep. Staff is sparce but attentive when available. Room comes with fridge and microwave, so popcorn and movie is attainable. Seafood and Outback restaurants 100 yards away. 2 Tesla chargers (free to hotel users).

I would do 3.5 stars if possible. We arrived to check in after check in time and were told the rooms weren't clean and if we could wait 45 minutes. We couldn't, so we left and didn't check in until 11:30 pm, which went better. Still found it surprising they didn't comp a breakfast or something. The rooms are very nice except for lighting in the bathroom area. It is very difficult to see when getting ready for the day because the lighting is weird. There's a light that shines from the frame of the mirror, but no overhead light except by the door and in the shower room. My wife found it difficult to get her hair done as a result.

Very clean and fairly new modern hotel. Nice business center with printers. Lot of seating for eating and work. 2 free 64 amp Tesla chargers. Breakfast is not complimentary anymore, you must purchase.
