Living in a cooperative has surpassed our expectations, especially at this unprecedented time. There is an extra level of comfort, knowing that we are going through this together. Should anyone in our community need anything, another co-op member is happy to help...after all, we're like family! While we are respecting the protections in place for COVID-19, we have found a way to enjoy each other's company with our LIFELONG Learning Center. Members share their expertise, talents and gifts with inhouse presentations. We are looking forward to reaching out to community with educational events once restrictions are lifted this summer 2021!

My wife and I moved into Vintage Cooperative of Ankeny in January 2018. Around Thanksgiving that same year I placed my wife in the hospital in Liberal KS with a temperature of 104 degrees. The second day she was there her heart stop and had to be restarted. She was in ICU for 11 days before I was able to bring her home to Vintage. Without the help and encouragement of those living here to assist during those first few weeks back I doubt that my wife would be alive today. We are a close net neighborhood of retired people that need people around who care and check on each other.
