Farmers Insurance - Vandana Dodiya

Good afternoon. My wife was shopping quotes for house insurance around September. Vandana Dodiya gave us a quote over the phone for coverage. We also gathered quotes from 5-6 other establishments in our area. This Farmers insurance branch however without written, or verbal consent of any agreement what so ever decided to take it upon themselves to sign us up for their insurance coverage and send us a bill. We were shocked when we received the bill as we had already gone with another provider. We immediately emailed their office with no response. Then we called to only to be told she wasn't in and she would call us back. Fast forward we talked with one of their staff and they said this was a miscommunication and that the invoice we received was just incase we decided to take them up on their offer. We were satisfied with that response, until we got a notice in the mail today, from a company called Credit collections services out of Norwood, MA. They indicated that they had been sold our account from Vandana, and that they now were trying to collect this payment from us of $440.03. Never in my life have I seen such neglect. This situation had so many opportunities to be made right, and it just wasn't. Now I have collects sending us mail demanding money for an account that was never made, for an offer that was never accepted, at a company that never tried to even attempt to make this right. We are dealing directly with the collector now to supply them with documentation to rectify the blatant disregard the insurance agents business has bestowed upon us. A call with an apology after reading this review is not enough. Our credit will most likely be affected, and my wife, who is raising a child throughout the day while I'm at work is forced to deal with the mess that was never ours to begin with.
