CHI Health Clinic Family Medicine/Pediatrics (Valley View)

Pgoeltz well. Dc Thomas left me high and dry. He did not want to fill most meds referred me to others and some meds just cut off with no recommendations. As to who to see or other solutions. Guess coming to Iowa to care for mom dad was wrong choice. No return calls from nurse or teladoc ?

I saw Kelsie Martinez today. My back is out and im in severe pain. Was provided flexeril and aleve. And told that if i needed pain medicine i would need to go to the ER. Which is BS. She said if i still felt pain after taking muscle relaxer, to go to er. Guess what, Im still in pain after taking them. She wouldn't even provide a few to get through the this crisis. My option now is sit in pain or spend 3 grand and go to the er. She could have prescribed me a few days pain meds. She failed me as a provider. Where is her compassion? It comes off like shes more worried about her career than helping the patients. We went from one extreme to another, drs giving out pain meds freely, to not at all. Now i feel like a drug seeker because i have to try to fight to get relief for myself. My family that work in healthcare, say She could have looked me up in the Iowa pmp that tracks when people get pain meds and seen that i havent received them in years, since the last time my back went out. And she most certainly could have provided a few. My primary dr is out today so i had to do the walk in. I called to speak with the office manger, she is out, i called to ask to speak with the MD overseeing her and they said theyll have supervisor call me. Hasnt happened yet. Where is the compassionate care? I thought i was doing the right thing by going to the clinic and saving health care dollars by not going to er, this cant be the standard of care for people with excruciating back pain. Will I be reimbursed for having to see another Dr?

I was so grateful with how much they cared and that every word I said was not pushed aside like the ER did. I needed immediate medical attention and I got it.

Ive been rescheduled 3 times for the same appointment this week. Not to mention the long wait times. Dont bother to come early theyll still bring you back late. I waited over two hours my last appointment just to see a obgyn for a second and both times they didnt fill my prescriptions. This time they had me wait 20 mins just to bring me back and reschedule. Yesterday it was because that obgyn had to go on leave for family. The time before that was due to booking error. They waste your time and gas. I think Im gonna change providers.

Office staff seem very rude and unprofessional. Without an appointment, don't waste your time.
