Hey, we have one of the best local places for radio, telephones, deck hardware or anything remotely related to your car radio system. Yes, I've read all the negative and positive reviews and agree that everyone is entitled to give their honest feedback so we the consumers can make wise decisions, and that's why I relay my free writing and advice to you the viewer. I can truly say Garland & Ford on Locust in Downtown Des Moines is the real deal. I have a SL 500 Mercedes that bleeds money when something needs repaired. Dave replaced my Cd/DVD player after researching and finding a good match. I did have to take it back once for some adjustments, but it now works perfectly. That being said, the face on my entire radio system was cracked due to heat and winter storage. Dave promised he would research to find me a new face under cost for my system. Those of you who know more than I know how long it takes to get parts for European--German made vehicles--know it can take months not counting the delay due to COVID--19. The face setting arrived eight months later. I took it in for Dave to replace, the difference is like it was sent from the factory where my dealer wanted me to pay $$$$ for a brand new system and did not mention partial replacement or even give me other possibilities. Dave did a marvelous job finding the used part--even though I do not know how to program most of the beyond basic bells and whistles. This company is family owned and not only do they give top notch service they stand behind their work and most of all they treat female customers like we matter in a male dominated field of couch experts. I say all this to say you do not have worry with the old adage "buyer beware " when you stop and chat with Ford & Garland Radio of Des Moines a small family owned business that you can trust.
