Avis Car Rental

I had a pick up time of 9am. I got a call and was told they would not have a car available until 10:30. I got to the office at 10am hoping to get a far. There was no one at the office. They finally got to the office at 11:20! No apologies at all!!! I finally get my car and it still has trash in it from the previous renter and only 1/2 tank of gas. Needless to say, I missed my work meeting and still not even a slight apology or anything. I don't know if this is the norm for Avis but I would try to avoid the Dubuque Airport office at all costs.

The car rental was in the airport Dubuque regional airport. There was no one at the Avis counter. That was no Ava's worker in the vicinity. I was unable to get the car. I had to make alternative plans. It was the worst car rental ever. I'll never rent another car from Dubuque airport and Avis again.

Booked a rental on September 3rd, i only needed it for a day. Website wouldnt let me reserve for a single day since they close on sunday. I proceeded hoping the clerk at airport would help. I explain when i pick up the rental im only using it for a single day and that it will be returned on the 4th, she still charged me for the 3 days. When i finally get my receipt, they have charged me a whole additonal day and a late fee on top of that. On top of all of this, i took photos of the odometer and a video documenting me dropping key off in box. Yet the receipt they sent me shows a different odometer reading than what i took a photo of. Are you guys driving the cars after we turn them in? Or just making outright lies on your receipts? Avis, i will never rent from your company again and i will tell everyone i meet not to rent from you. Refund me my 3 extra days you charged me and the additional 15 dollar late fee. Updated: after providing avis customer service team with enough evidence that i was actually there, they eventually refunded me for the excess days but flat out ignored me 3 times when i asked if the vehicle was driven after i turned it in. Take photos of your fuel, odometer and pay attention to your receipts should you decide to do business with this company. Rent with caution

We stopped in with some questions about a car rental, the two guys working were very helpful and answered all of our questions! Great customer service
