Just came here because my tire was on the verge of popping. The owner was able to get my tire patched up in 20 minutes or less and was very kind and helpful. Will definitely return if I need more service.

Driving through IA and we had a tire that kept going low. Knowing Iowa City was approaching, we started to call shops about fixing it. The first three shops couldn't get us in, but the owner at Five Stars offered to take a look right away because it was an emergency. He found the slash on the side of the tire, located a used tire in the required size, and had us up and running in 30 minutes. Thank goodness the first three shops couldn't get us in because this is the type of shop and owner we want to support. Thank you!

this place is the absolute best. i highly recommend it to anyone in the greater iowa city area, the man who worked with me was extremely helpful and i walked out feeling like i learned more about my car than ever. i initially made the appointment because i spilled coolant all over the inside of my hood, and had major leaking. he diagnosed it as a bad water pump and worked diligently with me to get it fixed in a timely manner. i had my car back the same day with a brand new pulley, water pump, belt, thermostat, and all systems flushed. my car has never run so smooth before and i walked out of the place feeling like a new woman (me and the car lol). it was all for a great price as well, considering all the parts he had to get for me and the labor he put into my vehicle.
