I got my dog Dunkel "aka vegas black"from Michelle in 2017. I lived in California at the time and the area had suffered devastating wild fires and I was not able to do the training most bird dogs need. I started hunting with him when he was over a year old. He has a great nose and point. He holds through shot and retrieves to hand without any professional traing. He grew up hunting quail and chukar from sea level to 12,000ft. I now live in South Dakota and he is a pheasant slayer. I want to thank Michelle Wilburs for producing such an incredible blood line. My next bird dog will definitely be from Brush Dale Kennels.

GREAT PEOPLE make all the difference, and that definitely goes for Brush Dale, as Michelle and her husband are always FANTASTIC to deal with!! Brush Dale is also the closest thing to hunting wild birds in a natural environment that I have hunted in Iowa, as far as lodge/preserve hunting. I would recommend a bell, and a GPS collar for your dog(s), as cover can be pretty thick, along with the rolling hills that tend to lend themselves to losing site of hard working dog(s), not unlike most natural environments. Being fairly sharp on your shooting skills will also be a welcome, as planted birds wild up to a fair degree. Can not say enough good things about Brush Dale!
