I recently booked a room for a couple of nights to be with a friend at the hospital having surgery. Unfortunately, we could not make it. I called the IHG call center to cancel the reservations but was met on the other by the rudest man named Brad, just trying to make life miserable. Short story but the General Manager named Carrie called me back and had the problem straightened out in no time and cancelled our reservations. I just want to say thank you to Carrie for being so courteous and professional unlike the call center Brad. I can't imagine this hotel being anything other than a great place to stay in Kansas City. Thank you, Carrie and the whole team at Holiday Inn Express, KC University.

The front desk staff was outstanding. The housekeeping staff pounded on our door at 9 am and walked right in. I hadn't even had a chance to reply from the shower. They woke my son didn't announce themselves. Not cool at all. Rooms: The grout in the shower could definitely use some scrubbing. Lots of outlets and usb ports. Great design to the rooms.
