Poor communication. Felt like I was not getting the help I needed, nice individuals but overall just people who drag their feet and don't care. I sent a message asking about my appointment back In April and never heard a call or text back till may, when I decided to let them know I am no longer a client there, and they responded nearly the next day like nothing happened..

I have never been a tenant at the shelter, nor spent much time in the office, but a couple staff members have been helpful in the past. The office is not the shelter, and it's exclusively for women and children, so it's a great place to go if you need discretion and/or assistance or starting over somewhere else. I got some great answers to questions, honest advice, and was offered legal aid, food assistance, a roof if necessary, which never was, but they're there to listen and help. That is, as long as the citizen(s) help staff to help themself, and genuinely need and want the help. I was treated with respect and understanding every time I talked with one of the staff. What people choose to do, regardless of who told them to do what, is entirely that person's choice, and doing. What people do with the info/help offered is their choice.
