They need to be more careful who they hire, there's some shady realtors. Several years ago we were interested in a house and getting a showing was like pulling teeth. Finally they sent a realtor to show us (we had to contact the company because the selling agent wouldn't do anything). We said what we would like to offer and our highest price we'd go. She told us there were already much higher offers and it was a waste of time to put our offer in and so didn't put our offer on paper. House had a sold sign a day or two later. Then a couple years later I found out that it actually sold for several thousand LESS than our offer. Those people couldn't afford it and a different realtor had information on their mortgage payments and showed up at the house about a year after they'd bought it and offered to take over payments so they didn't default. That realtor has owned it for several years now as a rental. It all seemed very shady. According to neighbors a house on the other side of the block sold with similar circumstances. And this was all before the crazy housing selling that's been going on since covid. They need to be more careful what realtors they have work for them.
