Gentlemen gave us a very thorough and detailed tour even though we arrived just before closing. He was passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the area

I really loved the comprehensive retelling of the history of the time and the plight of the freed African American slaves trying to actually escape slavery and stay free.

Impromptu stop at the Ritchie House and glad we did. It is much less about the actual house and more of the John Ritchie history. Had an hour long lesson from the tour guide with a slideshow providing a deep dive into the many aspects of reform Ritchie advocated for. Also had some excellent story boards in the Heritage Education Center.

Our tourist was so awesome, extremely professional and knowledgeable. It's a two room tour however it's a lot of information packed in.
