Covington Classical Academy is a gem! I toured this impressive school with the Head of School (and founder) Kelly Kusch : the revitalized building is beautiful and conducive to hands on learning, and the curriculum and teachers are unique and outstanding. If you are looking for excellence in a high school education, look no further.

Our son just completed his first semester at CCA and we couldnt be more pleased with the education he is receiving. This is an excellent school with amazing teachers who excel in their subjects and are passionate about teaching. They offer many hands-on learning experiences within the classes that are challenging and engaging. The Fifth Day allows students the opportunities to get out of the classroom where they volunteer, learn from professionals about careers, discover the arts, get some physical activity, and just learn new things; my son always looks forward to what they have planned. This concept truly sets this school apart from the others. Im so glad we found this school because my son has grown so much academically in just the short time he has been there, and this is exactly what he/us needed!

This is such an exciting opportunity for aspiring young scholars to be in the inaugural class of CCA. I had the privilege to be taught by three of these founding faculty at another accelerated study program, and the passion they have for their respective subjects is evident from the moment you walk through the door. I have a particular love of Classics, Latin, and History, and I can trace it back in large part to experiences with these teachers. These subjects are a doorway for stimulating critical thinking and academic curiosity. I enjoyed the concept of accelerated study, as I continually felt challenged in a way that wasn't always evident during my grade school years. I highly recommend learning more about this program if you think your young student would be interested!

As a graduate of Covington Latin who benefited immensely from a classical education, and as a current Covington homeowner who #LovesTheCov, I always assumed I would end up sending any future children of mine to the same school I attended. However, in recent years, the school administration (and the Diocese) have made some decisions that caused me to question whether it would still be the right fit. Unfortunately, I wasnt thrilled with my other options either. Enter: Covington Classical Academy. Led by some of the teaching staff that once made my alma mater so great, this new school plans to take all of the best elements of the classical education and expand them into an all-encompassing learning experience fit for todays bright young minds. My favorite aspect is the 5th day concept, which goes beyond classroom learning and into real world application (read about it on their website if you havent yet!) CCA seems to understand that while its great to educate intelligent students, its equally (if not more) important to cultivate well-rounded humans. And yes, I love that theyll be learning Latin. Even though I gave CCA founder and my former Latin teacher a lot of grief at the time (sorry Mrs. Kusch!), I now recognize that studying Latin had an undeniable positive impact on my vocabulary in not only English, but also French and Italian. Im thankful to know there will finally be a place that Id feel good about sending my future kids when the time comes.
