This review is specifically for the Haunting on the Hill event. I love the Sullivan house and fort hill park in general but the haunting on the hill event was probably one of the worst Ive tried to attend. Parking for the event was a t buffalo trace with a shuttle to take you to the hay ride area that would eventually take you to the event. After parking at buffalo trace we got in the line for the shuttle. There were only 2 shuttles running that I could tell. My group waited in this line for an hour. In the time we waited we saw shuttle 1, shuttle 2, and shuttle 1 again. We left at that point as there was still a large line ahead of us (at least 3 more shuttles worth). We had seen the hay ride loading point and knew there was another long line to get on it. The event was only scheduled for four hours. It could have worked if there was more than 2 shuttles running. The children in my group were really disappointed but it is what it is. Hopefully it will run more smoothly next year.

20230913 A must visit if you like history. I walked part of the mulch trail next to the paved trail, and the paved trail has a section toward #1 Stone Fence that is graveled. There is a mulch trail system, but the map doesn't capture the name of the trails, and I didn't go too far into the wood. The highlight of this visit is the view of the Kentucky State Capital. Recommend going for the history.
