Hampton Inn Franklin

We had a LONG day of travel, I was sick, we were very tired and we found this place simply by looking for lodging signs and then noticing the outside appearance of the place, the ease of getting off and back on the freeway, and it had a couple of restaurants right next door...walking distance. Friendly staff. Secure location...we were worried about the security of our truck and belongings...clean rooms. I wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy the facilities further. Unfortunately we had to leave early to travel the rest of the way home. I would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed here on our way home. Comfortable and clean room, continental breakfast was hot and delicious, just what we needed before we hit the road. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We like Hampton for the included breakfast, but this hotel is old and dated. The rooms have little or no sound proofing. The staff is courteous and the location is great. Rooms: Little to no sound proofing. Dated Nearby activities: Mexican restaurant within walking distance.

At least a few times a year, my husband and I make a very long drive that leads us through Franklin. On more than one occasion, weve stated at this Hampton Inn. Our stay is usually uneventful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is convenient. Last night we got in late. We had our key on our phone. We had our dog with us. She is a good girl, but she does bark when she sees strangers sometimes. The stairwell is right by a side door that leads outside. Unfortunately, the keypad to that door wasnt working. So this morning, my husband took our dog out via the stairs so she wouldnt disturb anyone and just put something to prop the door open so they could get back in. He was only going to be a moment, and was right there near the door. The front desk person came up behind him and removed it and let the door close on him. My husband was still right there within a few feet of the door. This person didnt say anything to him, didnt offer to help in any way, didnt even acknowledge him, just shut him out and walked away. As a result, he had to walk our dog through the lobby, which caused a ruckus that could easily have been avoided. We understand that propping a door open is probably against a rule or regulation of some kind, but we doubt theres any rule or regulation that prevents staff from using their words. An operational keypad at the side door would also likely help.
