I read a sermon transcript just now on remember the sabbath which essentially said NT modern day Christianity started observing Sunday since the resurrection of Jesus aprox 2000 years ago. That you wont find any reference for Christians to observe the seventh day in the NT. Sorry friends, there is a lot of references to Jesus and the disciples observing & keeping holy the seventh day, even after Jesus ascended to heaven, the apostles observed the sabbath. You need to study this. Research 321AD Constantine Read the great controversy EGW What have you got to lose but our salvation.

The attention is not on the word of God here anymore. More time is spent on emotional manipulation by the pastor and "life application". It's like the preacher is running a race by himself and just rushing through the scriptures to get to his own point. We need less opinion, more Bible, and we need to teach about repentance. Don't tiptoe around it. It's also apparent that there's not a lot of personal study time being done in the word of God. Time and time this preacher has not had a correct answer (even admittedly in the pulpit) or explanation of the word. Sometimes not even pronouncing words correctly. This is the highest calling of a man. It's important to take teaching and sheparding God's people seriously. You must be studying His word daily. You must know the true history of the word and how, when, why it was written. It also wouldn't hurt to slow down and break the sermon up into 2 or 3 parts. That way more time could be spent in the word. I pray things will change for the flock at HFBC.
