BOTTOM LINE. If you're a service member, rent in a different location (Elizabethtown), and make the drive to Knox from a better / newer complex. It'll be worth it. If you're not a service member, I don't know what your commutes are like, read for more for information... Basically this apartment is the unfortunate norm in America and what's wrong with the current state of the economy. This apartment is charging prices comparable to my mortgage in Maryland (3 beds, 2.5 baths, 2 floors, and a garage in 2021/22) just outside of DC in PG county. Except this is an apartment... in Radcliff. Frankly, I'd be okay if those prices felt worth it. Truly the best in the area, but as listed below, are my complaints that make this location absolutely unacceptable for the price from worst to least. 1.) These apartments have a serious bird problem. They will poop everywhere and attempt to get into your dryer vents and exhaust vents where they will nest. We have had two birds die in the exhaust vent since being a resident (2 years). In one case, I was deployed for 9 months and so you can imagine how terrible my apartment smelt after that. They don't seem to be in a hurry to fix the issue. Further, when the bird corpse was literally seeping blood, they took almost two weeks to clean the vents for us. Feathers still blow out of the vents on occasion so the cleaning quality is questionable. 2.) Parking sucks. Seriously, it's bad. There's no assigned parking and you'll find yourself needing to park near dumpsters on the other side of the compound. 3.) Heating and cooling systems struggle to keep up with weather sometimes. Last year it was about 10-20F outside and about 62F inside. My thermostat was set to 72. It continued to get colder inside the apartment until I bought a space heater and closed some doors. 4.) If you have kids, the pool was unopened for a very long time. The park / play area has a ton of animal poop and trash that doesn't get picked up, just run over my landscapers. 5.) The animal area is tiny and absolutely littered with poop, you cannot take one step without stepping in something. Not even worth mentioning as an amenity. 6.) Misc. Complaints... These are things that I expect from an apartment complex by now and not weighted too heavily. Maintenance is slow, plumbing was backed up for a while until it was opened and cleaned, they paint over imperfections without drywall repair (found out when trying to hang curtains). (+7 this a positive) I actually really like the maintenance guys. They've been cool and helpful. My guess is they're understaffed and under resourced at times.

My husband and I moved here a little over a year ago and I wish we had never renewed our lease. 1. No one ever told us how to get into the pool area, so every time we went it was locked. 2. Since March our light fixture has poured water not once or twice but three times and they say they are going to fix it and yet the water is now leaking through the walls. We have also reported that our shelves were collapsing to 2/3 property managers we have had this year and my husband had to fix it 3. We have been out of ac/heat for a week now and it has been reported twice and no one has showed to fix it. This is also the second time it's gone out in 2 months. 4. This should have honestly been my first red flag but they sent us a new lease to sign back in June stating that our rent wasn't changing in August. In the middle of August (after we paid rent for that month) they sent another lease saying we had to pay another deposit and that rent was going up. I called the property manager, they said they would send a new lease before Sept 1, they never did. They then changed us to a month to month without any notification and added an additional 250 to my rent that month at which made our rent a little over 1,500 dollars (for an apartment in Radcliff?? Seriously?) and was told they couldn't fix it so we had to pay it and sign a new lease. 5. Parking sucks on the side without garages.
