I'm not sure if this agent was new but I would have to say Ms. Teresa was very inexperienced. I was on hold for x amount of minutes about requirements on opening a bank account. I called back a second time to ask about checking cashing percentages, again another long hold. Finally she asks about the account number of the check but never answered my question!!! This was definitely not what I anticipated calling Resource Bank!

Very friendly, personable and professional staff. They helped me with some very basic transactions and assisted me with some of the equipment in the lobby for sorting change that I brought in. Lobby and facilities are very clean and parking is very generous. The is a traffic light right outside the parking lot to easily get back on the main road.

I am happy to finally have closed my account with this bank. Was a customer for 4-5 years and every instance that we had to deal with them outside of just regular deposits and withdrawals was always a hassle and the staff members didn't seem to know how to efficiently assist. (1)They shut our cards off several times for what was explained to us as suspicious activity (once I was just trying to pay for groceries and had not used my card that day before that transaction) but allowed very obviously fraudulent charges go through other times. We had to eat the cost of some of those charges because the vendor decided it was a valid charge (even though the goods were ordered under a different name with a CA address for shipping) and the bank just told us, sorry, we can tell it's fraud but there's nothing we can do. (2)After a change of address, they could never get our address updated correctly for some reason. Even after they had been sending statements to the correct address, they ended up shipping my updated debit card to an address we had lived at a year before and had updated the address MANY times since then. (3)One staff member needed our signature on a document and as we were living out of state, this had to be signed electronically, however, they apparently could not figure out how to use docusign so they emailed a PDF and asked us to print, sign, and scan it back to them?? Thankfully, Ms. Kathy, who is the only person there that seems to be competent, was able to send the docusign. (4)The last straw was trying to close our account and get our funds transferred, which was just way too difficult of a process than it needed to be. The person who was helping me (Kim) was very difficult to deal with - like, verified my phone number to give me a call back, then proceeded to call my husband and insist that was the number she had spoken to me on earlier?? These are just a few examples, but the level of incompetency at every turn was just astounding. We have always preferred small, "hometown" type banks, but Resource is truly living in the dinosaur age with the way they do things. I would never recommend this bank to anyone.
