Lazy with a major lack of communication. Cuts off communication after saying he will give money back. Money never given back.
Around April 2022 I had received paperwork from my kids, mom saying she was bringing me to court for child support and custody in Louisiana. I live in Colorado. I went on the Internet and found Wayne Bush. After talking with Taylor Bush and having a brief conversation/consultation with Wayne Bush , I would hire his services. He was the fifth or the sixth person that I talk to, and sounded very reasonable and very professional. The retainer was paid in May and we met face-to-face for the first time in June when I had a court appearance. Talked for 30 to 45 minutes at that time where I told him, I want to see the birth certificate. Its been an issue, besides the point. The birth certificate was really the only thing I wanted, and even said if I could get a copy of the birth certificate, I would be completely compliant and not a pain in the butt. She drugged her feet and never filled out her paperwork so time just went by. After a year and a half or so of him being my lawyer, the court case was dismissed since she was moving before the next hearing. Year and a half later still have not seen a birth certificate. I briefly talked with exam in July after it was dismissed, when he said the other lawyer had called him and asked about paternity, I asked him yet again about the birth certificate.
Call call after the case was ended and he made one appearance in court with me and spent approximately 15 minutes on the phone with me. I asked for a breakdown of work that he had completed and a bill. He replied with a text message saying I will give you 1/3 of your retainer back, and the rest is a flat rate.
Again, I asked him about the birth certificate and told him I would be OK with 1/3 of the retainer if I could get a copy or at least a picture of the birth certificate I have been asking for for over a year. At that point all communication stopped.
So after a year and a half I still havent seen a birth certificate. I have in writing from him that he will pay me 1/3 of my retainer back the Friday following the text message. And after 60 days, he still hasnt made good on his word even though he has been given two different methods of acceptable payments that he approved.
Overall, if I can give him a lower rating, I would! Expecting to take 2/3 of someones money, and doing a little to no work as well as not being willing or able to provide anything in regards to work he has done. Saying he will give money back and then goes radio silent Stay away from this one!

Mr. Bush was extremely helpful and informative during my divorce/ custody case. His office responded back in a very timely manner for any question I had via phone call or email, and kept me up to date on what was going on with my case. I highly recommend using Mr. Bush for any and all legal matters. Excellent attorney!

I hired Mr. Bush to my court and divorce process with my husband who is an active-duty army soldier stationed in Fort Polk. July 13, 2021 we signed our contract and I paid $2500 which was partial of the $5,500 agreement; however, I felt like my case wasn't important since day one because he told me my court day had to be changed due to his other compromises that has been booked previously which I completely understood. Although, his staff was supposed to keep me updated I never had anything from their side, unless I was the one calling for news, every time I called I had different answers to my main concern; which, was my court date. First, I was told the court date has been pushed for further date but later one of his workers said the court day is still going on but they will confirm that (No confirmation happened). At this point I wasn't sure on whether there is court day or not for me, I didn't know if I had show up for myself in court without been prepared by my attorney or or what was really going on? The lack of communication got me extremely worry because the only person caring about my case was myself!! Second, in a little over a month I walked-in into the office to drop some documents and I had made few phone calls too, my last phone call was last Thursday, his secretary said she was on vacation and someone was SUPPOSED to informed about the court date. I got tired of so much unprofessionalism and told her how I felt, Mr. Bush withdrew from my case literally the very next day, last Friday right before lunch time; which was one business day before my court date. His letter specify of why he is dropping my case, how much he is charging me for his services and how much $$ I am getting back into my credit card from the first payment I made. The letter also said and finally confirmed my court date has been canceled and changed to an unknown date. I understood from the beginning that a divorce can never be easy (tell me about it) I am the one going through this but also I felt left behind from day one. I am just glad our contract was terminated!!
