Coach Toro is outstanding at understanding a lifter's weakness and goes above and beyond to help them fix it. Since he was a high school lifter and continues powerlifting to this day, he understands the competitiveness and the desire to succeed in the sport. He provides the tools a lifter needs to push themselves to the next level, while prioritizing safe lifting to ensure a long career. Not only does he help lifters develop their physical abilities, but he helps lifters develop the mental state needed to be successful. This aspect of a lifter's training is often overlooked, but by keeping a levelhead no matter the situation, he sets a positive example how to deal with the stressors of lifting. I will always be grateful for the guidance Coach Toro has offered me.
