        First time I've been to Captain D's and it's a shame we were only passing through Leesville because that was mighty fine food with great friendly service. The spicy battered fish added a unique twist to a traditional Fish and Chips, and I consider myself an expert, I'm English and have probably eaten fish and chips twice a week for 45 years before coming to the USA. My wife enjoyed the chicken tender and fried fish combo immensely.

      At our Leesville, LA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
