Located in Mid-City, I really enjoyed the different perspective on New Orleans beyond the French Quarter or Garden District. The host Brent is very helpful and candid with his recommendations about areas and restaurants to check out. Great meals were had within 2 blocks of this bnbMadinas and Juans Flying Burrito. The Canal Street Streetcar is nice to take, but I wish it ran more often. The home is nicely appointed and comfortable. Brent serves a good breakfast plus has water, tea & coffee available whenever youre thirsty.

My daughter and I enjoyed a girls' trip this past weekend to celebrate her graduation from college, and the 1896 O'Malley House and our host Brent made our weekend trip even more special. The house is beautiful, clean, full of character and ambiance, and Brent's breakfast each morning was elegant and delicious. It was much better than a dull and mundane hotel! Brent was so friendly and personable, and we enjoyed talking with him about the history of the house and the city, and he answered our questions and gave us some good recommendations. We never felt unsafe while walking from the house to the nearby streetcar stop, although we stayed aware of our surroundings. Our only problem was NOT ENOUGH TIME!! So we will have to go back again, and when we do, we will most definitely stay at the 1896 O'Malley House!
