David and his electrician are totally incompetent at there workmanship period! Han his so called electrician Alex( Words of wisdom dont let him in your house) to install a fan in my attic . Ever since I have had numerous problems with my electrical outlets throughout my home. I call him back out to figure out what the issue is he claims that its not his work that caused the issue! What a joke!!!! I called David the so called owner! Totally unhelpful, unprofessional and incompetent himself! To make a very long story short stay as fat away as you can from this company very overpriced and dishonest! Take it from someone who knows! I hired DD on 8/2015 for a bathroom renovation on my mother's home for $10,450. Upon completion, the bathroom cabinets were loose and missing nobs. The painter used only one coat of paint so this caused issues if you touched the any of the walls. On 10/2015, I hired DD for $32,925 to renovate the 2nd kitchen and bathroom. The guys busted into chimney bricks with a sludge hammer causing a hole so David recommended it would cosmetically look better to completely remove the chimney for $800. Upon completion, David said all of the sheetrock on the ceiling needed to replace for $2,550. When I asked David why this included in the original invoice he said this was overlooked. There were several issues with the quality of work along with integrity issues. The bathroom layout was not the same as the first which I asked to keep exactly the same. There was a different style window installed, base missing around the floors, exposed insulation coming through the corners, painter painted the top of the newly installed cabinets, missing handles on the cabinets again, loose ceramic tiles on the floors, the top was the toilet was cracked and leaking pipes underneath the kitchen sink. The bathroom and kitchen ceilings were sealed without adding the HVAC vents back. When asked David about the vents he said that we never had any so ended up emailing him pictures of the before photos showing we indeed had vents. Dave tried to get me to hire and pay an HVAC company to correct the issue in which they caused. When I refused David denied any wrongdoing but eventually agreed to fix it along with the other issues. After performing a secondary inspection I observed a continued decline in craftsmanship. One of the guys instead of replacing the entire floor base correctly he cut corners and cut two pieces then glue/paint them together which was unacceptable. I had a friend who is a realtor accompany me who realized that the ceramic tiles were installed going in the opposite direction of the wood underneath. When I questioned David about this he said the guys at the tile store told him this was the correct way to install the tiles. I had a few other flooring companies come out to verify and they said the exact same thing that the tiles were installed incorrectly. When I had appliances delivered by Home Depot, I asked David would he verify they were in working order and he ended up sending me an invoice for $600 which was absurd when Home Depot actually verified the functionality. On 3/2016, I signed a contract for the amount of $17,520 to renovate the rear exterior of the home. David informed me there were active terminates (pest control company confirmed there were not) and he needed to replace the bad wood for $2,900. David also pointed towards the end of the project that one of the back doors framing needed to be repaired for a cost of $3,782. Here is a picture of how myback door was removed with the top exposed while there was a tropical storm. If I could gave these guys no stars I would. Thieves.

Job: Reframe and replace exterior door that is currently 34x80 with 36x80 exterior door. Prep: Now before I started looking for contractors to do this job for me, I spent a good amount of time looking for ways to complete this job myself. You know the drill. Hop online and google everything. Watch every video and read every article. After coming to the realization that this job was too big for me to handle, I decided to call the experts. Now before I started calling I knew I'd be spending anywhere between $750 to $2000. ...the only thing I needed was someone with the knowledge and manpower to get it done. Visit: David Lenau (owner) crossed the threshold of my rental and handed me his business card. I explained that I wanted to replace my 34x80 door with a 36x80 door that i had purchased. I told him that reframing and everything that goes along with it was okay. Disappointment: His professional option was for me to purchase another 34x80 door because what I wanted couldn't be done. Why not, I asked. He said that I couldn't put a 36x80 door where a 34x80 had been. Don't worry, I masked my anger as he insulted my intelligence. After that very short "lesson", I repeated to him what I stated at the beginning of our conversation. Because it seemed as if he had forgotten. I needed the entrance reframed. As if this was new information he told me that it'll be way too expensive to do. (Flashback of me visiting a car dealership that lost my business before I went to another to purchase my Yukon Denali). I asked how much it would be, and he said $800 for labor alone. For the few of you that skipped what I thought it'd be, I put $750 to $2000. So with $2000 being my limit to spend, all I needed was the professional to make it happen. I'm truly disappointed in David Lenau, the owner of Destiny Developers LLC. Like I told him before he walked out. Never say what you can't do. Give all the options that can make the project happen. Plus watch HGTV for a few days. Count how many times they say it can't be done then compare it to the times they make it happen.
