Montessori Academy of Slidell

I cannot say enough positive things about this school. The Montessori learning style has just been so great for my daughter. The teachers are amazing and patient. They care so deeply for their students. My daughter needed a little extra help with her communication development, and they went the extra mile to meet her needs. They have a great app where they share updates which makes it easy to communicate with the teachers as well. Highly recommend MAS! Love love love this school!

Shout out to Montessori Academy of Slidell! We were looking for the right place for Benson when I had to return to work in August. I heard of MAS from a friend and went to tour and immediately felt it was the perfect place for our boy. Its hard leaving your baby with other people (especially not family), but MAS took our boy in and cared for him like their own. Megan & Kandace are professional and knowledgeable in their leadership. Im so pleased with their entire staff and we love Mrs. Rachel She is the perfect fit for Benson! If you are looking for a spot for your little one, check them out (if there is an opening)! I am at peace going to work and knowing my boy is well cared for

I can't speak highly enough of this school ! My son (4yrs) just started here when they recently opened and in this short amount of time I can see the great effect this school has on him. You can see the passion and dedication to Montessori education reflected in the environment they have created and the attitudes and actions of everyone who works here. They are fostering true kindness, respect & curiosity through what they do. I wish my son could go here until he graduates ! Lol

Teachers are great, owners/management don't have paperwork in order.  If you are interested in this facility, comb through the policy, ask questions and keep your paperwork handy!  They demanded I comply with policy that did not exist.  And why they finally admitted it did not exist, they abruptly changed policy and gave me less than 72 hrs to comply.  I paid for a full month's service and they are prematurely removing my kid from their school if I refuse to comply with this new policy change.  If I comply with the change, it will cause an overpayment in tuition fees.Great curriculum.  Great teachers.  Be diligent! Below is my experience.  And I hope my experience can help another family ask the questions to ensure they are provided fair services to the extent they paid for.Summary:  I paid for a full month's tuition. They started school August 15. So my payment should be good til September 15.  They're trying to double charge/overcharge for paid services.  I questioned this and they're changing policy today. If I don't sign this document, they remove my daughter from the program immediately (according to their email to me).  They are trying to hold me accountable to policies that did not exist.- As of 08/29/22 MAS currently does not have a policy requiring payment drafts to take place on the first of the month. - There is no documentation stating a parent MUST pay a specific way (via the app or otherwise) they have no policy or documentation backing this as of 8/29/22.- MAS assigned Aug 15 as the first day of school for new students and charged full month's tuition at the time of enrollment (for us, they required this in June).- On Aug 27 I received an email stating an automatic payment would take place September 1 even though their start date was August 15.-  I emailed the owners requesting to shift my draft date to Sep 15, to account for services paid for.- They refused to accommodate this request and instead, informed me that they are updating their forms to reflect mandatory use of their app and payment date for the 1st of the month. - This change in policy is coming after AFTER repeated requests to produce these documents and neglecting to do so, because they didn't exist as of 08/29/22.- On 8/29/22, They informed me that if I refuse to sign the documents today (8/30/22) that my child's last day is Wednesday, August 31, 2022. This gives me only ONE day to find child care so I can continue working.- Instead of shifting my draft date to the right, they would prefer to change policy and remove my child from their program for failure to comply with new policy that results in an overcharge of services for my family. - They provided no documentation for a "yearly balance", or an installment schedule.  Only "monthly" payments on a page labeled "Rate structure" that have no specified payment date; only "$1000/monthly". Meaning I can start the 8th and be billed on the 8th and there is no policy against it!- I was not provided with a balance payoff receipt once a payment was made.  So their policy did not, as of 8/29/22 reflect yearly tuition.  Only "monthly rates" that were never applied to any balance (that was provided to me specifically) I cannot speak to what was provided other parents.
