Northeast Bank - Auburn

I called the Auburn Store to place a stop payment and was told by Sandy that her supervisor said I can't and that I have to work it out with the merchant despite that I had told her I had already tried. Now mind you after, I was now frustrated and and when Megan got on the phone she. Hung up on me due to the frustration saying I couldn't speak to her like that. Just so you know, I hadn't even swore, just very frustrated. Don't get me wrong, when she said that I did call her a very offensive name. I then called the contact center and spoke with Jordan wgo despite my frustration treated me very good and through her patience and compassion braught me to a level where I could communicate properly. I know I'm not a wealthy person and closing my accounts will not hurt the Bank but I was with Northeast for 19 or 20 years and over the past couple years the service at the Auburn Store has seriously decreased to an offensive point. Placing a stop payment should be a simple task and since customers have to pay a fee, which makes the bank money with no reprecutions to the merchant from the financial institution, there should not be so much grief involved. Pretty sure Sandy is also the one who gives my husband so many issues each time he visits the Store as well. I will most likely ask him to close his business accounts there also. The bank has lost me as a customer however, I encourage you to teach the Stores about empathy and to stop telling people no to litterally everything that should normally be simple day to day processes.

Outstanding bank. I've been with them for decades and had accounts with other banks that I since eliminated. Staff and level of service are above and beyond.
