        Snowstorm out, and everyone is calling to find out if theyre open, distracting the bartender. Phone doesnt stop ringing. I was one of them! Busy, busy at the moment, and still they are killing it! Smiling and being awesome the whole time. Also, my food and drinks were perfect.

        I like going here especially when the weather is warm out! Outdoor deck and seating right near the androscoggin River. Sometimes they have live music going and it be live! Always great time there!

      A LITTLE GRITTY HISTORYSince 1988, Gritty McDuffs has been creating fine, handcrafted ales and traditional pub fare. From our humble beginnings as a small brew pub in Portlands Old Port, weve grown to become the brew pub of choice for Mainers and folks from away. From the start, Grittys was at the forefront of the brewing renaissance in the Maine. Founders Ed Stebbins and Richard Pfeffer had two simple goals in mind: to create a true, English-style pub serving fresh ales and great food, and to have fun doing it.
