Coach Stop Inn

Lovely B&B - great check-in/out instructions, cute room (we stayed in Heritage), really lovely breakfast both mornings we had there, and the owners are very nice. On top of breakfast they had an afternoon treat offered in the dining room that was perfect after a day of hiking. A little outside of town so keep that in mind when planning meals, etc. you will need to drive. But for us, this was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway!

My Wife and I had an absolutely delightful experience at this bed and breakfast. The innkeepers were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring a seamless check-in process that was both efficient and easy to understand. It was evident that they had thought of everything we might need before our arrival. The location was perfect, situated just outside town yet close to all attractions. The "Tavern" room was a cozy with its exposed beams and wide plank floors. The A/C unit worked perfectly, and the automatic gas fireplace added a touch of warmth for chilly evenings. The culinary experience was as delightful as the accommodations. Each morning brought a new and delicious surprise for breakfast from mouthwatering crepes to perfectly prepared Eggs Benedict. Every bite was a culinary delight, and we savored each moment of the dining experience. It added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already fantastic stay. I would absolutely stay here again!

It's our last night at the coach stop inn and we're sad to be leaving. The hosts are amazing - they've provided great service and the breakfasts have been some of the best my wife and I have ever had. They also provided some delicious afternoon snacks. I love the location, it's quieter than if we had stayed in town but not hard to drive in for shopping or dining. Easy access to Acadia, too. This will definitely be the first place we check for availability next time we get to visit the area.

Absolutely wonderful!! No absentee ownership here. Room was more than adequate despite being older, great water pressure for the shower and all the amenities of a top notch hotel. And then there's the daily breakfast...yummy. Maybe not full blown gourmet but who would know?? Overall rating: Outstanding!!!

We visited the Coach Stop Inn for a two day stay in early June staying in the Somes Sound room. We had a wonderful time. The inn is very convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP, but just far enough away from Bar Harbor to provide a little peace and quiet. As the other reviews have indicated, the breakfasts were amazing and the hosts very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.
