Glenn is the best. I did taxes for years for myself and my husband and I, but after a move to Maine with split income in different states, and a slew of job expenses, I wasn't confident we were maximizing things and wanted some help. Few things frighten me as much as taxes do. Not only am I positive the government is out to get me, but I'm pretty terrible at math (I only got points on my SAT because I spelled my name right; that's just how embarrassingly bad I am with all-things-number-related). I also have a moderate distrust in technology. So, the idea of number crunching for Uncle Sam on a website makes me want to curl up in a ball and weep like a girlchild.Enter Glenn Morin.I met Glenn while working as a Heineken model. I was schlepping beer and schwag at a local bar where he and his friends were drinking. I have no idea how the topic of taxes came up, but his friends assured me that he was the best CPA in the kingdom of Portland. Conveniently, I was in desperate need for a "tax guy" (PRO TIP: every gal oughta have a good tax guy, tattoo artist, car mechanic, and insurance agent) because of all the freelance work I was doing. I think Glenn initially thought I was all talk when I told him that I was interested in hiring him (sometimes it's difficult to take a scantily glad beer girl seriously, I know). A decade later and guess who's done my taxes (which have gotten increasingly more complicated) every year since that fateful meeting in a bar? Mhmm, Mr. Glenn Morin.Could I do my taxes on my own? Maybe. Do I want to? No. Not ever. I don't know what a typical accountant costs, but Glenn charges an extremely competitive rate - and he's worth absolutely every penny. I have sent multiple people his way because of his honesty, trustworthiness, quality of work, the skill set he possesses (which I sooooooo don't), and impressive knowledge base. I love the efficiency in which he gets my taxes done, and - even more than that - I appreciate that I can call him any time of day throughout the year (not just during January to March) with any questions I might have (once I called him just to ask about the noise level on the street he lived on). Seriously, you just don't find that kind of personal one-on-one anymore, but with Glenn you definitely do! He takes the "scary" away from tax season!
