Vici was an abdolute gem of a salesman to work with. He was patient and let us test drive multiple trims as we zeroed in on the best one. I cannot recommend Vici enough. He made us very comfortable in the whole process and spent over an hour with us after the sale showing us all the ins and outs of the infotainment system and all the buttons. The dealership as a whole had quite limited inventory though.

Has to be the worst experience we have ever had dealing with a parts department. They have gotten parts completely wrong 3 different times on the same vehicle when providing the Vin and year make and model with a diagram included. Has help up the customers vehicle an extra week. Stay away!

Norma King is a wonderful salesperson. Very efficient and very friendly. We knew what we wanted when we came in and she moved everything along as fast as possible. She goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and she is a real asset to the dealership. It was our first experience at Morong and we walked away very pleased with our new CX-50.

Carmen was a fantastic saleswoman who went above and beyond trying to find a car that fit within my budget and would serve my needs. Although I did not end up buying this weekend, she was very thorough and personable and I can say with conviction that I'd be back when the time comes. Stellar team and an inviting atmosphere. I was happy to be there. Thanks, Morong!

My first phone call with Morong Falmouth Mazdas Service Center was positive, but that was the last good interaction in my experience with this business. On Christmas Eve, my drivers side car window fell into the door frame and I called the Service Center at Morong Falmouth Mazda to bring my car in. The woman I spoke to said that they were very busy, but a technician could at least wrap the window and give it a brief look over to see how bad the damage was/how long it'd take to fix. I said that I completely understood they were booked for the holidays but appreciated the offer to wrap the window. I brought my car in later that week and waited while a service technician looked at it. Once they were finished, the Service Director notified me that when the window fell into the frame it broke the door regulator and motor, so it'd cost approx. $1100 in parts and labor to fix. Then he asked me to sign an agreement to start the work. I said if it was going to cost that much, I'd need to call my insurance to open a claim first since my deductible is only $500. The Service Directors expression changed from a smile to frustrated, and he told me that my policy likely won't cover the work since I hadn't gotten into an accident. Then he said that he doesnt even know whether they can have my car fixed in two days, two weeks, or two months because they are already so busy and still need to order my parts, so insurance will probably just slow it down more. I thanked the Service Director for having the car wrapped and said I'd need to take the car home for now to figure things out. The Service Director said okay that's fine and a technician would ring me out. I figured okay, Morong wrapped the window and diagnosed the problem, it only took a few minutes but that's still their labor and they dealt with broken glass, so I understand paying for it. Morong charged me $168 for the diagnostic test which seemed incredibly steep in comparison to the work done. I called my insurance provider and was assured that the broken window and related mechanical parts are covered by my policy. However, Geico told me that Morong Falmouth isn't in network so Id have to take my car elsewhere. Huh, perhaps thats why the Service Director at Morong advised me not to go through insurance? Anyways, GEICO booked an appointment with Key Collision on Forest Ave in Portland. Key Collision called me within two days to tell me my car was ready. When I asked what it'd cost, the technician said it'd be $337 because he had to replace both the glass itself and the regulator. The window replacement cost me $166, that means the actual window + labor cost me $2 less from Key than the DIAGNOSTIC TEST Morong charged to tell me my window was broken. Most importantly, I confirmed with the Key Collision technician that my window motor was completely fine and didnt need to be replaced. Morong Falmouth tried to pressure me into replacing parts that weren't even broken.

Thanks for your feedback regarding your experience. I spoke with the service advisor who you spoke with regarding your interaction, and the ways in which he could improve. The diagnostic charge you paid was the standard fee for diagnosis, and covered the technician's time for disassembly and reassembly to determine the window regulator was the cause of failure. I am not sure if this was not communicated well to you, but the window motor was a recommendation only, based on the fact that we had no way of knowing if it was strained by the window regulator failure. The technician made clear notes that stated that you could just replace the regulator, but there may be an issue down the road with the window motor; I apologize if that was not communicated properly to you. I can absolutely assure you that being out of network with your insurance company had no impact in any way with the discussion your advisor had with you; we have very little interaction with insurance companies within the realm of mechanical repairs, so we have absolutely no idea which companies are in-network or out-of-network. Insurance companies can, and do, often cover repairs like this; the process is generally much slower, as it requires getting an adjuster involved, and they nearly always require the work to be done at a body shop, as body shop rates tend to run about 40% of what mechanical rates are. So the disparity in pricing is not at all surprising; I would also imagine that aftermarket glass was used, as factory glass for your vehicle is far more expensive than you noted. I do want to emphasize, again, that in every scenario in which a window regulator fails like this, wherein the cable may have wrapped around the motor or strained the motor in any way, we will absolutely always recommend replacement of the window motor as a precautionary measure. This is not meant to pressure anyone into replacing anything; this is meant to prevent a situation in which, 2-3 months from now, you would have to pay for that same door to be taken apart again in order to have the motor replaced, should it have suffered any issues. There is absolutely no way to know that as of yet, and again, there was absolutely no intent to make you feel pressured. Thank you again for offering your feedback. I have used it to discuss the issues present with the service advisor. Have a great weekend. Mark
