I just updated my reply inclusion with Lauren Smith. Who gave a one star review. We thought that seemed odd. But after investigating more. You both can into the store with open beers and were told by Mike it was against the law. You then proceeded to down your beers stating “problem solved”. See my reply to Lauren Smith. I think you may find it interesting. My first response toYou. Wow that’s quite the review. First is the “neck tattoo guy” is Mike and a very talented part time employee who is very caring about customers and his team mates. He definitely cares and is not a “clock puncher and weed smoker”. Please don’t judge someone based on their look. Which is what you did. You don’t know is story By telling folks not to support us is just not fair it’s an opinion that lacks facts. Defensive, yes we have skilled staff that we get lots of compliments on everyday Please see other reviews. We have a great store great staff and even better customers. So rethink your comments. Hi Lauren. And Phong. So I was pretty confused and curious that on the very same day you both came in the store but on two different days left one star reviews. That’s pretty odd for our store. After digging into this further I learned that you both came into the store at the same time (together) apparently looking around when staff, the one you pointed out , found you both wondering around the store with can holders drinking open beers. You walked into the store with them, which is illegal in the state of Maine. We have very strict open container laws. There is no public drinking at all in or out of business’s The staff you called out to being less than you expected pointed out the Maine State Law regarding drinking in the store or on the streets you both then downed the rest of your drinks and replied “problem solved”. His name by the way is Mike and he has a responsibility to hold up the law. All of our staff are state certified regarding the laws of Alcohol consumption in any establishment. We are one that only sells alcohol and does not serve it this again is a State Law. Perhaps where your both from in Rhode Island you can consume alcohol walking around the streets and can go in and out of business with open containers. That may have confused you both here in Maine. Both Mike and Jim ,the other team mate , were doing their job as expected and for the state. They also shortly after you left reported it to our local police. Again they were doing their job. They both are extremely experienced and always have our store and community in the best interest. So weather you spent 1.00 or 150.00 the laws still pertain to alcohol for everyone equally. I would encourage you both to understand the laws before you visit communities rather than criticizing people for doing the jobs So in this case both of your one star reviews are meaningless since you basically broke the law and got caught Luckily you didn’t get caught while you were walking around town with your open beers because this would have been a very different experience for both of you. I guess our staff did you a favor. If you’re back in town it would be best if you bypass our store that follows the la since you’re not respectful of laws or our business. Asking others not to support or store seems to be a bit extreme when it was the both of you in the wrong. Yes I will aways support staff under these circumstances Bonnie Clement , Owner.
