Very nice little museum. It is a communal vacation property built by members of the Fith Maine Infantry Regiment just after the civil war. Period artifacts, photos and gorgeous views. Volunteer docent enthusiastically explained the history. We were there on a Sunday and the wrap around porch was filled with local artists selling their crafts.

Civil war history and an amazing story! Worth a boat ride out to Peaks to see the place! We also attended a wedding rehearsal dinner on the porch- simply spectacular !

Amazing collection if history I learned Maine alone had 32 regiments and had over a total 48k men no ac no tv
