IHOP

my recent experience at IHOP in Portland, Maine. Upon arrival, April 10.2024 my party requested to move our seats for comfort, to which the front desk staff member, who appeared to be of Spanish or Asian background, kindly granted permission. However, the initial server, an older Caucasian woman with blonde hair and a buzz cut adorned with stars, responded rudely, huffing and puffing, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Her behavior nearly prompted us to leave, but thankfully, Elizabeth intervened. Elizabeth provided exceptional service, exhibiting professionalism, courtesy, and attentiveness throughout our meal. Her demeanor was a stark contrast to the initial server's, and she greatly improved our dining experience. I urge IHOP to ensure that all staff members uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that appropriate measures will be taken to maintain IHOP's reputation as a welcoming and customer-focused establishment. Parking: n/a

Worst I hop experience ever, the Silverware was dirty, the food order was completly wrong and it had hair's in it and on top of it all ,the waitress was incredibly rude.We did not touch the food and left.I would give it a 0 star.

This IHOP seems to have undergone an upgrade. The interior is spiffier than it was a year ago, and the menu is a bit more streamlined. Got a spinach omelette with a ton of spinach, and the side dish of pancakes was very good (as always). Wife got a meat and eggs combo plate, which was also good. Service was prompt and friendly. We were there at midday on a weekday, and the crowd was overwhelmingly senior citizens. There were plenty of diners. Across the street from the Maine Mall. Adequate parking. UPDATE: returned in April, more customers than usual. Service was very good Kid-friendliness: Saw plenty of kids here, and IHOP has high chairs.
