Maine Historical Society and the Wadsworth-Longfellow House

Been walking by this place just about every day for two months and every time I walk by, I say one of these days I've GOT to go in. History is cool and Maine History is Super Cool. I've heard nothing but good things about the Maine Historical Society and I'm a big fan of Longfellow's work, going next week and plan on doing a FULL review after I tour both.

I wrote you 4 years ago, as a grandson of Patience Young, asking for some small item to remember my grandmother by. Perhaps some seeds from her garden. I never received any reply. Can you help me? It was a nice facility and the house tour is nice. You are required to download an app to listen to the content, but not a big deal if you have a smartphone. You may bring ear phones if you dont want to listen out loud. The museum has three main sections and talks a lot about the history and how it relates to Maine. Worth the $15 and 2 hours we spent there!

Kinda disappointed. The Wadsworth-Longfellow house was closed and we paid $30 for 3 adults to go in a small circle inside and see almost nothing.
