Unable to get to lighthouse as directions lead to a private road with no access to lighthouse.

Amazing kayak paddle to Indian Island Light in Rockport Harbor. As all descriptions of this lighthouse indicate it is not accessible by land. It is on an island and can best be seen by boat. It is visible from land, but not accessible. It is also privately owned. Which means you can view it from the water. That being said, for you kayakers, it's worth the paddle. We left from Rockport Harbor in the morning. We chose a day with calm wind when the water was flat. Kayaking right along the coast through the seaweed and over the rock was surreal. Once we reached the island we spent time enjoying the view of the lighthouse from the water. There is a sandy pull off across from the island that is public. This would be an enjoyable spot for lunch. This paddle was so enjoyable I would do it again in a heartbeat!
