Sun Outdoors Saco Old Orchard Beach

Loved our cabin. Merry moose serves good food...very reasonable prices. Very Close to funtown. Clean showers/bathrooms if you use common buildings. Friendly staff & good amenities. Short trolley ride to okd orchard beach. About 38 minutes from kittery outlets.

Why can't campgrounds have decent site separation????

Easy check in, we chose one of the one room cabins, my older kids and their kids each chose a tent site right next to the cabin so it worked out perfectly. Plenty to do here and always things the staff is putting on for the kids. You can order food, firewood and have it delivered to you site when it's ready, how about that for a perk! The trolly comes around at the bottom of the hour so for a couple of bucks you can take the trolly to the beach instead of dealing with traffic, then find a place to park and then spend around $30.00 to park! There is also a water park and rides just up the road as well. Gas and grocery store just up the road as well. Were very happy we chose this location and will not hesitate to use them again.

This park is oddly in an industrial complex, not near the tourist attractions, and the campsites are on top of each other, but we always enjoyed our stays over the past 7 years when the place was a KOA. This year the cabin, bathrooms, and showers were not clean, the pool was packed wall to wall, and our site was the worst one we've had yet. Our requests for specific cabins have always been honored in each our previous stays, but now that this place is a Sun Outdoors, our site request was ignored. Every time a car drove in the entrance, our firepit was right in their highbeams. We didn't even bother with a fire after the first night. The two middle aged couples across the way were up until 1 am screaming obscenities at each other and the family with 6 kids at the campsite in the other direction started yelling at 5 am. The manager said that the family was leaving the next morning, but when they stayed, we ended up cutting our trip short, desperate to get a good night's sleep. We'll have to look for a new campground next year.
