October 2023. As sellers were very unsatisfied with the service we received from Amy Sainteloi and Amanda Tanguay. As dual agents we feel they represented the interests of the buyer more than us in the first failed offer. After accepting a financing addendum and an extension of closing date, I felt cajoled and bullied on the telephone when refusing the third amendment to the original agreement extending the closing date again. We reduced our sale price by 400,000. On the second failed contract, they encouraged us to take a last minute offer of 100,000 less than what had been agreed upon and possibly 300,000 less than the appraised value. They had our property listed for eight months from February through September 7 2023. We signed what we thought were termination documents in September that only absolved THEM of their duties of the buyer-broker listing contract. When we went to relist the property with another agent in October we found that out and asked to be released. They then demanded $6000 to smooth the transition. We refused to be extorted and will let our contract lapse with them in February. They also badgered our town code enforcement officer. Im a great believer in the principle that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Amy set out vinegar for sure. For having the house Under contract from before the first listing until the aborted second contract date in September, we negotiated not a cent of earnest money. I would never recommend them to a seller.
