        We had a very bad experience with LaPlante. We needed warranty work done on one of our heat pumps, and they wanted an exorbitant amount of money for the labor to install the warranty part. When we explored Maine implied warranty laws they became very defensive and agitated and refuse to do the work. Steer clear of this company! The technician we worked with was great, it's office staff and owners that were the challenge. LaPlante may not have installed my heat pump, however, Goggin did, and you acquired Goggin. I did not ask for free labor, but reasonably priced labor.

        My husband and I couldnt be happier with the service provided by LaPlante Electric with the installation of our stand by generator! Each individual person whom we had an interaction with was highly professional, skilled and pleasant.

        Alain was very polite and professional. He answered all my questions and kept me updated to his findings. Very impressed with him! I will have him come back when the repairs are scheduled. Thank you Alain! Second trip out for Alain and both times very impressed with him! Very efficient, thorough, professional just as the first time! Left the job site clean and orderly which is greatly appreciated! I appreciate his dedication to resolving my hot water issues. Again, thank you so very much!

        Everyone we spoke to and dealt with at Laplante Electric was wonderful!. Dan our salesman was amazing and very helpful, and the techs that came out to do the install were super professional and personable. They explained everything to me and gave all the rundowns and showed me where to find things. Thanks guys!

      Michael, we are really disappointed to read your one star review. Unfortunately, as we explained, your heat pump was not one that we installed, nor is it one that we have ever serviced since it was installed over 6 years ago. Although parts are still under warranty but outside of any installer or state warranty, we can’t provide labor free of charge as you requested. We wish that we could have performed the work at a rate that met your expectations and hope that you are able to find another service provider that is a better fit. Update: We see that you have updated your original review. Regarding your reference to Goggin Energy: Please understand that Goggin Energy was your installer and LaPlante purchased only certain assets of Goggin, so any liability and your warranty associated with this installation remain with Goggin. Please see the above for accurate summary of warranty status. Regarding your update that you did not ask for free labor: We encourage you to review the email you sent on Wed, May 1, 2024. We do hope you are able to find a peaceful solution with your next vendor.
