Our last bed was a $500 bed in a box from lowes. Barely lasted us 4 years. Our back was really starting to hurt. As I thought it was our landscaping job, I was still hurting well into the winter. My husband said it had to be the bed because we were both hurting. As much as I can't believe I'd ever spend so much on a mattress, I'm glad we did. Already feeling better! I'll start with the sale.. TJ Erikson from the store in Annapolis Mall, was our 1st salesperson. Small world, we found out he actually sold us one of our trucks years prior. He did great, he tested us on the test beds, and walked us around to several beds to see what we liked. What i liked was that he didn't immediately take us to the most expensive or cheapest bed. I have to say, we were definitely there longer than we wanted, but was happy leaving with a decision of what bed we wanted and a rough estimate of how much it would cost. When we came back a few weeks later, ready to purchase, unfortunately he was not there, but the store manager Tammy helped us out. We weighed the odds of new base/box spring, or an adjustable base. As I saw online they were giving the adjustable base away for free on some models, We quickly found out it wasn't on the one we wanted. But we got lucky with some good presidents day sales and got huge discounts. We were very happy with the service. We also have to say that the delivery was amazing! We had everything out of the way, and LOVED how we could track what stop the delivery guys were on and see how long our stop was on their list for the day. We were a little worried because it was going in the basement, but they had it all set up in no time! We give them 5 stars, 6 if we could! The bed itself has been great! Our backs are already feeling better. Have to admit when we first layed on it, we were a little worried that it was TOO firm. But we've had it about a month and fits us great. We did end up getting the adjustable base and as we don't use it much, it outweighed getting box springs and a base, hassle and money wise...and we keep the head raised slightly, we love it. Unfortunately I have only 2 disappointments, and doesn't have to do with the service or the mattress. We HAD to buy a bed cover to keep up on the warranty of the bed. I HATE IT. We got the cheaper fitted sheet version from mattress warehouse. My 1st impression was that I felt like a toddler who was going to pee the bed. The feeling and sound of it, just feels like what you would put on your toddler's bed. On top of that it refuses to stay on the bed, it moves as soon as you get in and by the morning it pushes the sheets completely off. It's a pain. The other disappointment is the pillow. I was NOT going to buy it. The storm pillow (i think the name was)..$180 was way too much, but they discounted it to $120 and gave me free delivery, so I felt like I was getting a deal. It was nice in the store. It has cooling. But it was just as flat as my $5 walmart pillow by the end of the first week. Kicking myself in the butt for such an expensive pillow and it's nonrefundable. My worst decision. Overall great experience! Hate the pillow and bed cover, but won't knock any stars off for it! Highly recommend the Sealy Albany mid firm
