I wanted to wait for a few visits before leaving a review, wanting to make sure I had a full picture. I think that now I do. I went to see Dr. Ghannam for three extractions and two dental implants. My daughter joined me with her own need, that of having all four wisdom teeth removed. Our first impression was greatthe office is welcoming without being too much, striking the right balance. The front desk staff is also, I might add, both professional and engaging. Its worth noting they have two locations, one in Burke and another in Chevy Chase, and our positive impression extends to both. But, what ultimately matters is the quality of the dentist and their work, and perhaps for some, their bedside manner. I'd add a third important factor: how well they communicate what they're going to do. Dr. Ghannam and his entire team were outstanding in all these areas. The dental work was top-notch, and considering I've been to the dentist more times than I can count, I'd say my implant procedure was one of the smoothest I've experienced. I had no complications and felt fine the very next day. Of course, everyone's recovery is different, but I know a quick recovery when I experience one. Both the bedside manner and the explanations were above par. I've never had a dentist explain the procedure both so thoroughly and clearly. The only hiccup happened today, and interestingly, it was in my favor. Dr. Ghannam wasn't happy with the implant crown from the lab and decided to send it back without a second thought. He just took one look and knew it wasnt up to par. As for my daughter, her procedure was a bit more complex, made no easier by her fear of dental work. Despite a small post-op complication, which was no fault of Dr. Ghannams, he handled it impressively. Dealing with post-op issues well is important, and in the case of a nervous patient like my daughter, offering reassurance matters a lot. In fact, the best compliment I can give is that my daughter is fully reassured and willing to go back. She was especially impressed and reassured by Dr. Ghannam's dental assistant. If they'll keep us for the long haul, we'll happily stay with Dr. Ghannam for our dental care. While I cant promise everyone will have the same experience, I've been recommending him to anyone looking for a dentist. He's definitely a good one.

Doctor was very good, knowledgeable, and attentive to the patient and parents.
