    I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experiences at The Capital Grille in Chevy Chase. The food is just incredible, but it must be said that the service makes an entire evening such an experience. The front desk staff is always so welcoming. Our waiter David Piergiacomi, is so stellar that we have sought him out on subsequent visits. Such a charming and joyous waiter, and he deserves all the accolades. We look forward to many future visits there. Thank you to the entire staff and to David for making our nights at The Capital Grille so special.

    The food was great but the service was the most unique and remarkable experience my partner and I have ever experienced in our combined 30 years of living. We made a reservation nearly 20 minutes before arriving after a whim when we realized our original plans weren't going to pan out. So we ended up at Capital Grille where we were greeted immediately and met with the friendliest wait staff. Once we were seated, we met Abdul, who is quite possibly one of the best waiters we've ever had. His knowledge on the menu paired so well with our tastebuds and was prompt with bringing our drinks and meals out. It's almost like he knew what we wanted before even saying it. On to the rest of the night... his conversation and personal development conversations truly touched my partner and I because it was almost like he had been a fly on the wall in conversations we've been having for so long. He offered wisdom, book suggestions and local attractions that he recommended. My partner and I are very humble beings who don't have much money and just wanted a nice evening, so we figured we'd skip dessert. Somehow Abdul knew we wanted a little more even though we said we didn't want dessert and brought out some of the best cheesecake and flourless chocolate mousse cakes either one of us has ever had, making it an even better night than it already was. We truly had the best time spending our evening with Abdul and still think about all of our conversations with him even on our road trip back home. Thank you Capital Grille and most importantly, thank you Abdul for giving us such an amazing evening. We hope to see you again.

    My recent visit to Capital Grille had its high and low points. Parking was a breeze thanks to their validation service, a nice touch as always. The Porcini Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye with 15-Year Aged Balsamic remained a standout, showcasing why I keep coming back. However, the Seared Tenderloin with Butter Poached Lobster Tails fell short of expectations, missing that wow factor I anticipated. The sidesBrussels Sprouts, Mashed Potatoes, and Au Gratin Potatoesalso didnt hit their usual mark of excellence. Something seemed off in their preparation or flavor, which was disappointing given their usual quality. Service-wise, there was room for improvement. Our waiter was slow to follow up after our appetizers, and we saw less of him than we would have liked throughout our meal. This lack of attentiveness was unusual for Capital Grille and somewhat dampened our dining experience. In all, while the main course shined, the sides, and service didnt quite live up to the high standards Ive come to expect from Capital Grille. Heres hoping for a more consistent experience next time.
