I am a little late posting this review as my boyfriend and I moved out of the apartment complex in March. However, I wanted to make sure I posted one for awareness. The crime in this apartment complex increased significantly over the few years that we lived here, and it became personal for us. My vehicle was stolen right in front of my boyfriend and I and it was a very traumatizing experience. From the police, we know that several career criminals were involved in this, and I have a suspicion that someone in the community was involved. I post this because I know how hard the apartment search can be, especially with lack of reviews, and if I was searching I would want to be made aware of this. Obviously, this can happen anywhere. However, after requesting several times that management make residents aware of the incident, there were no emails sent out. Management sent emails out about picking up dog poop, not playing on the frozen pond, etc. However, they failed to notify residents of the increase in crime. I assume this is because it would make their complex look bad, but they should be concerned about the safety of their residents. I know that I am not the only victim of crime within this community because there were police officers in and out of the complex quite frequently. I noticed it more after my car got stolen, but that is likely because I was hyperaware at that point. Additionally, I saw several sketchy vehicles in and out of the complex daily (damaged cars with no tags or temp tags, super nice vehicles with temp tags, super tinted windows, etc.). There are definitely drugs moving in and out of this area and it was time for us to leave. We had no issues other than this increase in crime, but in my opinion it is no longer a safe place to live, especially if you have children. Stay safe!

Overview: I filed a grievance with Attonery General over Mold In Apartment. Stay away from this complex at all cost, while my stay at StoneGate/ironridge apartments, there was a leak in my closet from a upstairs unit, after days of contacting them to fix it and my closet becoming flooded, they responded but did not fix the problem at first and left my closet still flooded, and after they said they would return and did not for 2 days I contacted the leasing office again to come and fix it, so they come and cut the dry wall of the closet and at this point the water has short circuited the light in the closet so that no longer works and still does not work, they stop the leak but now there is complete water damage in the closet, a giant hole in the ceiling where all kinds of bugs and things are coming through, they sent someone to dry the rug but by now mold has set in the walls, its completely unusable and now they telling me they wont renew my lease after I asked to be transferred to another unit because of the damage and what it will take to repair it. And after months of getting them to fix the damage they still have not come to repair the damage. Please stay completely away from the complex _PICTURES BELOW!!

This is by far the worst administration ever. During my eight month lease, I had several issues that went on unaddressed. The maintenance system, and the faculty is terrible, God for bid you have an emergency needing to be repaired. When I moved out, they sent me a partial check for the deposit that I placed when I first moved in. Its been more than two months and Im still waiting on my check. Ive called the office manager several times and I always get the run around with returning my money back. The facilities themselves are decent, but if you ever have an issue needing to be resolved, this is the worst management imaginable. Please do not come here if you value your patience.

Ive been living here for 3. This year, my 11 year old son is doing online school so sometimes he is home alone if I have to get to a dr appt or take my partner to/from work. I placed a maint. service ticket for a stovetop pilot and in the ticket I stated (as I always do) that I sometimes have a minor child who is home alone and they need to call before entering. The maint. man (whoever it was) entered the apartment anyway with no phone call. My poor son was scared to death that some strange man had entered the apartment while he was all alone. I spoke with management and she asked me to submit the compliant in writing. I did, but got no response. When I called to talk to her again about them entering again without a phone call (this time it was during fall maint., which btw, they only give you the bare min. required by law notice of 24hrs), I addressed the original complaint as well, and the fact that I got no response. She simply said she had a convo with the maint. staff but refused to tell me what is actually being done about it or any info to alleviate the situation. I also asked for contact info for someone above her to speak with, which she refused and directed me to the website auto complaint lol. During the convo she also said How is he (maint. man) supposed to know your child was home alone if he (my son) hid from him? to which I responded Cos he was supposed to call me, as per my maint. req note. Are you telling me that an 11 year old should be answering the door and telling a stranger that hes home alone? to which she responded Im not going to tell you how to parent. You dont speak for every parent, some parents parent differently Excuse me? Ask any police officer what advice they give a child about safety. She also stated maam this is during the school year when kids are supposed to be at school. its extremely unusual for a kid to be at home along with some other comments I talked over, I told her that this is post Covid times and its common for kids to be doing online learning now, but its literally beside the point??? It literally doesnt matter if the maint. man thought my kid was at school, there was a NOTE ON MY MAINT. REQ THAT STATED MY MINOR COULD POTENTIALLY BE HOME ALONE AND THEY NEED TO CALL BEFORE ENTERING. Yes I shouted at her, who wouldnt be emotionally charged after their child experiences something like this and getting no confirmation how it was handled? I literally had to CALL THEM to find out what happened. As for the apartments themselves, the ac breaks literally 2x in a summer. They dont fix it or get new units, they only put on band aids to keep it working a little longer. Like, refilling the leaky coolant or recharging it? Idk, thats what they tell me. The apt above me leaked several times and theres stains and cracks all over my ceiling from it. The front door has poor weather proofing and bugs literally just mosey on in from there. Like, you can see through a small hole in my door weatherproofing, if you look, you can see the sunlight from outside coming into it. Ive tried to have them fix it but whatever they installed was poor quality cos in just a month after, the hole was back. The windows also are poorly sealed, we have actual bees and wasps that get in our bedroom even though we never ever open the windows. The dumpsters are always overflowing, just drive through the neighborhood at any point and youll see it. Kids ice skating or walking on the semi frozen pond. Geese poop everywhere during early spring-fall. I love the geese, but please, they need to hire someone to clean up all the poop all over the sidewalks so theres a safe place to walk. They send notices about people who dont pick up their dog poop (I dont have a dog, but I see the mass community emails), but they dont clean up all the geese poop which is oftentimes as big as (small) dog poop? UPDATE: Reply to their response; I made no mistakes. I add a note to EVERY SINGLE MAINT. REQ!! You made the mistake and need to own it. Nice passive aggressive response. Excellent cust. service there.

Hello Jamie,
I do understand your concern about having your 11-year-old child home alone. Could be scary to have someone walk in. We do try to make sure we have work orders done by the time school gets out. In this case unfortunately the child is home alone during the day and maintenance made a mistake entering without calling. Being as thou, it was school hours maintenance assumed without calling first. We apologize for this confusion; maintenance is aware now that we can NOT assume children are in school during those hours. We did give notice that maintenance will be entering your apartment today. There is no work order that maintenance had in front of them that would have stated to call first because this was winter preventive maintenance being done in your apartment. It becomes your responsibility to make arrangements for your 11-year-old child or to be home when you receive notice that we will be entering your apartment. It is okay we do understand that it could have slipped your mind and that is why the appropriate arrangements were not made. Mistakes happen! I am so glad that you made it home before maintenance did actually enter today, so your little one wasn't scared. Please remember it is almost impossible for maintenance to remember what tenant is requesting to be called before a work order is complete, so it is very important to add that to each work order created. If you get a notice that we are entering your apartment it is your responsibility to make arrangements. We sincerely apologize again for this mistake!

** Making mistakes is an inevitable part of being a human experience. We all make them. It's how you learn and grow from those mistakes that matters**
