(Original review 5 star) Great staff, great maintenance, great property. We really like the apartment and the help from the office. (Updated 2/11/2024) Ross management, the management company who runs it here, is not maintaining the level of service we came to expect. Long term maintenance left and current maintenance is not at the same level, though they do try. Office staff, reduced to one who does the best she can with such limited help and resources, is part time on location. Property is suffering. We are in our 4th year and there has been no painting of public spaces and it shows. Carpeting in the elevator lobbies needs replacing. Residents do a large part of the clean up of public spaces including sweeping entrances and vacuuming common areas. Landscaping is not at the level it used to be, with more trash on the grounds. And rent increases have continued to grow despite services being less. There was always a waiting list in the past, but now there are empty apartments due in part because of unjustified higher rents. Neighborhood is still great and quiet. Neighbors are wonderful and friendly. We still enjoy our apartment and the staff does the best they can, but with resources cut by Ross Management it is difficult to maintain the level there once was here.

Vista View is truly an unique living experience anywhere within Frederick! First the community of Whittier and your view of the Frederick area is amazing. Second, the office manager Lisa makes your search for accommodations so easy. Lisa's welcoming nature and attention to details makes signing the lease your next step. Lisa's follow-up and communications did not stop at lease signing. Lisa is available to help you as your questions and needs come up. Lisa --thank you! Last but not the least, Thor, the maintenance manager, makes your "settling-in " less stressful. No matter how good an "apartment turnover" company you have there will always be something missed or not working. Thor is most helpful and knowledgeable technician I have had the pleasure to meet. Thor has the "can do " attitude and efficiency you need as you are unpacking. Talking with existing residences, they all have had similar experiences with Lisa and Thor. Both Kim and Lisa, who work in the rental office here at Vista View, have gone above and beyond these past couple of weeks setting up COVID vaccinations for the residents of the community. And today I received my first vaccination in a very organized, friendly and safe environment! Thanks to both of you for your commitment to the residents of VV :-)

These are spacious 2br2ba apartments with amazing views. The management has been great with prompt response to any issues that arise. This past week the office manager, Lisa worked with Frederick county public health to pre-register residents for the Co-Vid19 vaccine. They worked with the mobile vaccine unit to administer the vaccine in the office. Pretty awesome and so appreciated. During inclement weather the sidewalks and parking lot have been kept clear. I love living here.
