Fast forward 24 hours later I went back to return one of the hair products I bought. I spoke to Lori (I think she was a manager) and told her about my experience. She clarified that any product in the store can be sampled. Customers are allowed up to 3 samples. She also said they like customers to sample products because it cuts down on returns - hence the reason I returned today Finally, Lori mentioned that Sephora points can be used in the store for 100 pt. products, which is nice to know.
