Chris is a great teacher. Our first lesson was free and used to determine my goals and if we were a good fit. After that he tailored a course of instruction that is meeting my goals.

If you want to LEARN music. If your goal is to become proficient as a musician. If youre done scrolling the internet for educational content that falls short of a real life, in depth learning experience, you need look no further that Chris Anderson at Sixes Music. Im nearly 70 years old. Ive been playing music professionally for most of my life. But there was a serious gap in my knowledge. I was mostly self taught, which by no means is a bad thing but unless you have perfect pitch and grasp things beyond basic familiar shapes and formulas, youre not going to be very satisfied or in demand as a studio session player, impromptu jam player nor a band member (if thats your goal). Maybe that isnt your goal. Maybe you just want to play for fun and thats great, but, youll get way more enjoyment out of playing music if you know WHAT to do instead of wasting hours (like me) guessing and struggling on my own. Chris approach to teaching is rooted in foundational music studies and the ability to have fun learning it. Ive known Chris for quite a number of years, his ability and experience is second to none. I would not hesitate in the least to recommend Chris Anderson at Sixes Music to any person looking to up their music game regardless of skill level!
