Merry Maids of Hagerstown

We tried this service to try and feel "the comfort of coming home to a clean house." My wife as so many do, didn't want to feel judged by the cleaning people, and spent time cleaning the house before they arrived, so we were expecting a nice shinny home. We paid a very expensive deep clean of 4 rooms, which they claimed they didn't have enough time due to picking up so much and yet the only items moved were never put back in the same room, a grand total of 6 items moves. They did a good job in the bathroom, but nearest we can yell, this is the only room they spent any time in. The steps were untouched completely, the floors weren't swept correctly, sweeping everything into a corner. The floors were not let mopped at all. They didn't clean under our coffee table, under the table, along the banister, it was the equivalent of children trying to make the house look clean rather than actually be clean. We left an honest review, and they called back to tell us they don't think they could make us happy. If you have a party or event coming up that you need the house to look tidy rather than actually be clean, this is the way to go. If you want your house to actually be clean, pay a babysitter to watch the kids and do it yourself, you'll save money and the house will actually be satisfactory clean. Since the owner feels the need to claim our house was "cluttered" we can add lack of professionalism to the list of complaints. We have a crafting corner during the walk around we knew they wouldn't touch. That was our "clutter." Again, in my review, I openly stated they didn't put anything back they moved, so I didn't know moving a small trash can and children's potty was so hard. Our house was cleaner than the walk around which we were told it would take 2 to 3 hours to clean. At no point were we told the job would be left unfinished if they felt it took to long, I thought that's the point of a "deep" clean. Save your money folks, clearly they don't understand clean by the owners own admission. Service: Deep clean

The team did well. No loitering and very attentive. However, the cleaning products used for the bathroom and kitchen meant I had to go over. Reconsideration should be given for products used for ceramic cook-tops and standalone tiled showers. Service: Standard cleaning

Super "wowed"! One of my bathrooms was God awful after being in physical therapy about 7 months and not being able to get to it, I thought for sure there was no way some of those stains were going anywhere, and was just going to be thankful for the help in anyone trying..but those ladies have magic hands!!! That tub is spotless and looks like a freshly moved in apartment bathroom! God bless you both! Appreciate your hard work, politeness, and willingness to do more! Service: Standard cleaning

Merry maids comes to my apartment once a week and does a fantastic job of making it clean and hospitable. I'm a construction worker that travels to Northern Virginia and I don't have a lot of hours left in the day to clean my house. The ladies come through every week and make sure my apartment is tip top and I can't thank them enough. I love the service. It's tip top. If you can afford it, get it. It'll make your life a lot easier. Service: Standard cleaning
