Creekside Village (Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing)

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! I WOULD GIVE IT NEGATIVE 5 MILLION STARS FROM ME IF IT ALLOWED ME, BUT I HAVE TO PICK ATLEAST 1 STAR FOR IT TO BE POSTED!! This place isn't clean, and the patients are not cared for properly. My mother couldn't take it anymore and after 2 days and only an hour of sleep she was able to be transferred to a wonderful facility in Williamsport to do her rehab. The state needs to get their butts in Creekside on a surprise visit and see for themselves and ask themselves if they would put their loved one in this place. This was the first time an immediate family member of ours had to using a nursing rehab facility and I was just shocked that our elderly have to live in these conditions.

This is the nastiest nursing home I have ever been in. Staff is rude doesnt care about the patients. Nobody is at the front door to let you in. Your feet stick to the floor. Terrible facility. Dont put your love ones in here

My mother went there on a Friday at 1:30 by fully alert and able to communicate by Saturday morning She was nonresponsive at 9 oclock in the morning. I asked them to call 911. They said they were waiting on their doctor. I told them no call 911 or I was going to by the time my mom made it to the hospital she was unresponsive to say my mom passed away on Monday. They did not have the breathing equipment for my mom even though they swore they did. Some of the nurses/Caretakers were flat out rude. I dont think and I dont feel they adequately, took care of my mother And the worst part is she was only there for physical therapy.

* PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS PLACE* My mom needed PT after a hospital stay at Martinsburg hospital. The hospital recommended Creekside Village aka "Cripple creek" & without us having a chance to review the place she was transferred without our ok. She was in route when the hospital called to let us know. My stepfather was so upset over them doing this. This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST nursing facility ever! I did private duty nursing for over 10 years & seen many different places. This place had 2 GNA's Friday- Monday for almost 150 patients. My mom was left for hours in a soiled bed even with the call light on for 45+ minutes & 2 desk requests for help. The last GNA on duty advised there were no clean linens & the ones who needed cleaned up most was their priority. She then went on to tell me my mom was clean & she'd have to wait for clean sheets for the bed before she could get back in. (When i walked in she had my mom naked & on the plastic mattress. My mom was so upset when she seen me, grabbed my hand & cried!! They gave my mom bedsores from not taking care of her & turning her! ) The GNA was going to go check & see if there were anymore clean linens in the laundry when she had a chance. My daughter had to buy towels & washcloths so we could take care of mom. They let patients sit in chairs all day & begging to go back to their rooms. I had to beg for a pillow. The RN said my mom had too many (ONE) pillow & couldn't have anymore. I told her my mom had ONE!! She got up & looked around for one in the locked linen closet but 0 in there. She went & took one from another another patients room. She didn't sterilize it or put a clean pillowcase on it. She is also the same RN that was talking mean to my mom & bopped her on the head while my niece walked in & heard her. My mom is the sweetest & kindest person you'd ever want to meet so I know it wasn't her fault. The place is ran by mean African women who don't have the heart for dealing with sick elderly people. They are so unkind & forceful to people be it patients or family! The place is just a nightmare one you'd see on a TV report about abusive nursing homes! We took my mom out of there asap & the RN wanted to know why we were taking her out several times. My stepfather wouldn't say anything but he was taking his wife home. The place is not clean & extra equipment is stuffed in bathrooms. They didn't check on the lady beside my mom but 1 time in 8 hrs. Please DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS PLACE & read the reviews because people are telling the TRUTH!! This place is being investigated & there will be so many state violations!! They need to fire the women RN's & GNA's. They are there for a check & don't have the skill to care for the elderly patients! This is a place of mean & rude employees who don't have a lick of kindness in their body! No one should have to go through this type of treatment!! I feel so bad for the patients with no family involvement to see & hear the mistreatment!! There are so many more things in this place that violate state mandated laws! Please go look in on your loved ones if they are there!! SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN OR HIRE GOOD PEOPLE!! Creekside leaves people by the way side!! Shameful living & working conditions!! Also, Martinsburg WV hospital should be fined for referring people to this place!!
