Staybridge Suites Washington DC East - Largo, an IHG Hotel

Excellent, clean and well meaning hotel. The building looks only a few years old so I'd be curious to see if these standards can be maintained five years from now. Nonetheless this is a charming, spacious and well priced hotel experience. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room with well-equipped kitchen and a full hearty breakfast. To top it off the indoor heated pool is cosy but fun for the kids and there is a firepit outside in the courtyard to sit around and share a beer and conversation with fellow travellers. Well located near to DC, with restaurants like Outback, Longhorn and Golden Corral next door. Not too busy either, overall good value for money

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly, breakfast was good and the pool was helpful after a busy day of walking around DC. Monday to Wednesday they provided an evening meal as well.

Spent the night for Christmas holidays. Drove for hours from out of state. While sleeping, the building alarm went off at a frigging 1 to 2 am, and there was no emergency whatsoever. It ruined my trip the next day due to lack of sleep. I got zero compensation nor apology from the hotel. And in the room, one of the TV didn't work. The garbage disposal didn't work too. Worst hotel experience I've ever had. I even didn't mention of the ridiculously high deposit, where most normal hotel only charge around $50.
