Updated review: I want to update my initial review after living in the community and downgrade my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Everything I mentioned in my initial review still holds: although Elaine left the community, her colleagues in the front office are professional and courteous. I love propertys location and I like my apartment. But unfortunately, I have to agree with most of the negative reviews and I wish I paid more attention to them before I signed the lease. Property is unsafe. Main doors and garage doors have been unlocked for extended periods of time on several occasions. I found a homeless man sleeping in the library in the middle of a day. Swimming pool. Although the rule is that each household can have only 2 guests at the pool, this summer I personally witnessed two wild parties at the swimming pool with 20+ people. I am not sure if they were consuming alcohol, but one of the attendees definitely used a bong. Tidiness. My apartment is clean, but common areas are dirty. Carpets are stained and walls need a fresh coat of paint. When I moved in, I was told that the property is under new management and that the new management will replace carpets and repaint walls in the next few months. So far, nothing happened. Unfortunately, trash room photos shared with other reviewers are accurate. On one occasion I was not able to open the door of the trash room as it was packed with trash. Fire alarm. In the last couple of months, (false) fire alarms have been going off frequently, often during night hours. Mail room. Current system of retrieving packages in theory is great. However, mailmen don't always scan packages and even when they do, residents move them while searching for their mail. It could take some time to find your package. So far, I lost 2, so more and more I rely on Amazon lockers. For all the reasons listed above, I am leaving although I have only 3 more months until the lease expires. By the way, lease break is extremely expensive, as property requires 60-day notice and payment for additional 2 months (regardless of if they find a new tenant or not).

Avoid moving to this location! As a current resident, I feel extremely restricted in my own home due to the property's conditions. The fire alarm frequently sounds at unpredictable hours, areas of this property have dislodged alarms, and the carpets are disgustingly stained throughout the building. Additionally, there are broken doors that permit unauthorized individuals, including homeless people, to enter. Maintenance is unresponsive, and numerous complaints to the management company have been ignored. These issues compromise the cleanliness and overall appeal of the building. Prospective tenants are only shown model apartments and amenities, with many actual units being outdated and not meeting state regulations. I am actively seeking ways to terminate my lease early. It is disheartening to navigate through the rest of the building, given its unpleasant state, and it is embarrassing to welcome guests into such conditions, especially considering the monthly rent of $2,200 for a 1BD/1BA unit. The disparity between the cost and the maintenance of the property is apparent. This building and its management company are literal red flags. Don't ignore the red flags; choose a better apartment to avoid unnecessary stress and anxiety. Looks can be deceiving!

I moved to this community about a month ago. I love the complex the amenities, the gym, the lounge and the movie theater are clean and well kept. The building is under new management and still needs a lot of work in some places but the things that need to be addressed can be overlooked for the moment. For example, the elevators are old and some of the carpet in the hallways have stains on them. The pool isnt open yet as its still winter but I look forward to using it this summer. Parking near my apartment hasnt been an issue so far and my guest haven't had an issues finding parking either. All of the staff members I have met thus far have been friendly and Eva in the front office has been professional and very helpful throughout our entire move-in process. I hope to continue to have a positive experience here.

We moved in 7 months ago and Elaine was very helpful through our move in process and always says hi when we pass her while out and about. Our floor plan is the Bennett and while I initially was against a unit with a Juliette balcony, it's actually quite nice to essentially open an entire wall of our unit for fresh air on days with nice weather. The bathroom is also ginormous. In unit laundry is also a bit of a rarity in my experience in this area but RCV has it! Our hallway has nice vibes, people leave each other sticky notes complimenting each other on their welcome mats, etc. The gym is open 24 hours. The location is a great aspect of this complex as well, it's about a 5 minute walk to the Twinbrook WMATA station as well as the county RideOn 5, 26, 46, and 101 bus routes. There are a lot of restaurants nearby as well as a Trader Joes, Fresh Market, and Aldi all within a 10 minute walk. This is a very accessible place to live for someone without a car!
