For the 04/06 show. ComedySportz is just pure fun. The performers are clever, humorous, witty, funny, and quick. It is a laugh a second. It's great fun for the whole family - young an old. This is just an awesome improv performance!!

Loving this Improv for Anxiety workshop series that Rozzie Square offers. Not only did Sarah start the class by getting us to think about our own goals and expectations of ourselves, but she, with patience, helped us to see the various levels of anxiety that we all are at - and catered generously to the spectrum of individuals. Unlike many approaches to anxiety, it wasnt being tossed in the deep end of the pool, but rather felt like treading to see where we were most comfortable and then assessing how we could and wanted to challenge ourselves. And what resulted was a group of anxious over-thinkers being determined to keep trying. Totally impressive. Im intrigued and quite interested in continuing to expand my comfort zone and self understanding with these workshops. Side note: It must be a worthwhile course if there are repeat takers - and there were some.

Rozzie Square theater is amazing! The teachers are wonderful, it's such a fun and nurturing environment- a great place to explore getting out of your comfort zone! Learning improv has really helped boost my confidence, and it's teaching me to say "yes!" instead of being critical or judgmental of myself and others. More than just improving my public speaking skills, flexibility and thinking on my feet, I feel like taking improv classes with Courtney is making me a better person (or maybe just reminding me of my strengths). And it's FUN!! I laugh SO hard every class! Try it, you won't regret it

If you're in the Roslindale area and looking for something a little different to do, Comedy Sportz Boston is it! You cannot beat the ticket price....it's less than a movie....and it's live, in-person. The all-ages show starts at 6pm on a Saturday. You can make it an early night, or there is plenty of time for dinner and drinks afterward. Owner Courtney Pong and the sportz teams work hard to make your evening fun and entertaining.

The folks that do improv comedy are clearly working very hard and committing themselves to creating a fun experience for the audience. While I, personally, prefer the experience of a polished production, the skill of the improv actors resulted in a fun evening with plenty of energy and laughs. The theater itself is a modest space and community asset that is well cared for and takes full advantage of the resources it has. I am grateful to theater owner, Courtney Pong, for nurturing a space in the community that brings people together to have fun and be creative.
