Little Feet Daycare

From the very first time we visited Little Feet has felt like home. Laurie and her staff are absolute professionals with a clear vision for educating toddlers. It seems that each day my son comes home with a new skill. And certainly with many stories to tell. The curriculum is strong with a variety of seasonal activities and learning through play. I love the outdoor space at Little Feet. Especially designed for little people, the kids get plenty of time to learn out there. In the summer there is water play and snow in the winter. The healthy snacks and lunch are a huge plus. It means my son gets to try new foods and we don't have to prepare them at home.

We have chosen Little Feet for our daughter before we came to Brookline/Boston (actually even before we found an apartment) and it's still one of the best decisions ever. Luckily, there was a spot available and we got the chance, since there are never more than 10 kids at Little Feet, which is surprising - especially for Europeans - considering the three teachers for only ten kids. We can only agree with all the reviews written before and would rate 6 stars if it'd be possible. After almost 1.5 years our daughter still loves (!) to go there and is often quite disappointed on Saturdays and Sundays, when we have to tell her there is no school today... Little Feet will be on top of the list of things we (especially our daughter) will miss after leaving the US soon.

Choosing a child care facility can be so anxiety provoking and overwhelming. Little Feet Daycare is exceptional and unlike anything else I've heard of. The nurturing, warm, joy filled environment is the perfect place for little people of all personalities and abilities to thrive. The teachers are unbelievably committed and attentive to each individual child. The home environment was especially appealing for the first "school" experience for our toddler son. A nice transition from being home. Laurie and her teachers are amazing. They are incredibly thoughtful about the play-based curriculum and tailoring it to each child's individual needs and development, as well as interests. Little Feet is a unique place, and esp. in Brookline. They have their own back yard to play in with tons of fun toys - slides, sand boxes, chalk, bouncy balls, even a little play cottage. Laurie sends weekly posts with photos, videos, and journals and it's wonderful to get a regular glimpse into your child's day to day activities. And they provide organic foods and lunch -- a huge perk! Best of all is Laurie's willingness and availability to communicate openly with parents on how their child is doing and how to create the best possible environment for their development and well-being.

Little Feet Daycare is truly wonderful! We knew from the moment we visited that this was a joyful, nurturing, and thoughtful daycare that would be a great home away from home for our daughter and fit for our family. Laurie and her teachers are amazing. They are really very thoughtful about the curriculum and adjusting to each child's individual needs and development, as well as interests. And at the same time, they gently guide the kids to grow and explore in new ways, all through play. Most of all they love the kids and interact in a way that is kind and respectful, and we feel so good knowing our daughter is getting lots of love with a consistent staff all day long. Little Feet is such a special place, and esp. in Brookline it's great for the kids to have so much space to play both inside and outside. It's so fun to hear about the variety of things they do every day, and see pictures and videos that Laurie posts every week. And they provide organic foods and lunch which is so nice not to have to worry about.

The small and intimate nature of this program has been wonderful for our son, and is one of the main reasons we chose Little Feet. We are new to the area, and Little Feet has helped our son with the transition. He attends two full days each week and is offered the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities in a safe and caring environment. We couldn't be happier with the level of care and attention he receives from the staff, and feel privileged to belong to such a wonderful community.
